Los
injustos penaltis privan al Abejar Club de Fútbol de su primer título, en un
partido que controló de principio a fin y que supuso el 6ª título de Copa
Diputación para el C.F. Piqueras.
Buen
ambiente de fútbol en San Esteban de Gormaz, con 500 personas en el Campo
Municipal, 200 de los cuales eran seguidores abejarucos.
La Final comenzó con mucho
respeto por parte de los 2 equipos pero pronto los pinariegos se hicieron con
el control del juego, inquietando a balón parado a un Piqueras que se limitaba
a buscar contragolpes con Recio y Alex. La mejor ocasión del partido llegó en
los minutos finales de la primera parte cuando David se plantó solo ante Jorge
que adivinó su intención.
La
segunda mitad comenzó con la misma tónica que finalizó la primera pero con un
Piqueras más replegado que renunciaba al ataque con la clara intención de
resolver el partido desde los 11
metros ó en alguna acción aislada. El abejar tuvo sus
ocasiones en sendos cabezazos de Encabo y David que de nuevo Jorge y Santi,
bajo palos, desbarataron.
Se
llegaba así a los penaltis que tuvieron en Jorge, en el día de su retirada, al
gran protagonista de la tarde, ya que desbarató el sueño abejaruco deteniendo 2
lanzamientos y ratificando la supremacía del equipo de Almarza en el trofeo
copero.
